A word on shopping carefully online

A worry of mine turned into a reality this month. The self assured online shopper I had become was hit with (walked into) a scam. Like this woman, I was blinded by what appeared to be an innocent duckling/price of the very dress I was looking for. And as I eventually succumed to my confidence and the sheer joy of finding the piece, my money was stolen by ... a duck. Thankfully, it is just money at the end of the day and not something of greater worth.

Tips for next time:
- Search the website for an email address, contact number. If in any doubt about the website, shoot them an email/call and if you don't recieve a reply within a couple of days, they shouldn't be trusted.
- Look out for important information, clear and indepth information on payment security and the method of payment, list on the types of shipping available and the company used to do so.
- Google them! See if they have had any complaints or reviews

Do your research! Or stick to the well known websites to be on the safe side, they are well known for a reason.

I was ambushed by a thunderstorm after shopping at Salvos where I found a... Canon Canonet QL17 + a UV filter attached + the leather case for $40! serious find! Going to get it checked out by a camera doctor first before I use it, see if it needs any replacing or cleaning. Hopefully it's in working order, because it's quite an upgrade from my Yamasheta 35mm toy camera which is just a point and shoot. It wasn't too exciting. The thing with film cameras is that I like the idea of not knowing how a picture turns out until you develop it. But I like being able to adjust the aperture and shutter speed etc on dslrs. So this Canonet is a great compromise. That is if it works.

The tune to this song is so heartbreakingly beautiful.

this is it! (i think)

T by Alexander Wang - Gabardine V neck Dress

I think i've found my little black dress! In this post I put up pictures of the Gabardine Cami Dress because it was simply beautiful, a perfectly low V shaped back dress made from delicate piece of fabric held up by two thin straps over the shoulder. However the problem with it is that it can only be worn by a small minority of body shapes and unfortunately I don't fall under it. But this dress is almost too good to be true, slightly boxy cut sleeves, a V neck, not skin tight and it has a beautiful back still keeping with the thin strap across the shoulders. I'll have to sleep on it and do a thorough check on whether it should exist in my wardrobe.
